Kacper Madejek is an award-winning Polish composer, multi-instrumentalist, and published scholar of contemporary music.

Kacper graduated summa cum laude from New York University
in 2022, where he studied music theory and composition with
Matthew Quayle, Clare Lesser, and David Lesser.
Previously a Teaching Artist and Graduate Composition Instructor at the Yale School of Music, he now serves as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at the Yale Department of Music.
Kacper’s commissioned compositions have recently been showcased at the New Music New Haven 2023-2025 concert series, Abu Dhabi Electrofest 2022 and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival 2022, and .abeceda Contemporary Festival 2025. Madejek received academic and music awards from Poland, Belgium, Italy, UK, UAE, and the US.
From 2020 to 2022, Kacper was part of Gazelien Records in Abu Dhabi, where he played an integral role in audiobook publishing, sound recording and production, and film scoring.
He then held two academic roles at NYU as a Curriculum Research Assistant in 2022 and Monograph Research Assistant in 2023.
Madejek’s recent scholarly work, featured in peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations, includes a sociocultural analysis of operatic constructions of femininity and theoretical explorations of hauntological praxis in electroacoustic music.
Kacper is also a pianist, tenor, and electronic musician by training with performances in Europe, Asia, and North America.
